EQUIPS is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization attempting to broaden the understanding of social inequities, as well as address the special health implications to which they give rise. With a special focus on children, women and the under-served, EQUIPS aims to help eliminate health disparities among different social sectors. Serving as a technical nexus, EQUIPS is a resource for civil-society entities requiring expert assistance in the areas of health, environment and equity. EQUIPS’s mission is to serve civil society via scientific consultation, risk assessment and communication, health education and health promotion.
