WECF and Dutch NGOs sent a letter to Dutch Prime-Minister Balkenende and to the members of parliament, with their recommendations on the position the Dutch government should take on REACH. (letters in Dutch)

The letter highlights 8 priorities:
1. Subsitution of toxic chemicals
2. Pre-registration of all substances
3. A solide registration procedure
4. Independent quality control
5. Equal safety requirements for import products
6. Public access to information
7. One substance, one registration
8. Civil society organisations in the management board
