WECF participated in 6th Task Force Meeting on Public Participation in International Forums

WECF participated in 6th Task Force Meeting on Public Participation in International Forums on 23 February 2011 in Geneva and a related workshop on 23 and 24 February 2011. It was the last Task Force meeting since the work of this very effective and successful Task Force will be not continued in this way. A draft decision to be adopted at the 4th Meeting of the Parties end of June in Chisinau foresees that the work will be undertaken by the Working Group in the next inter-sessional period. A paper on good practices will be published before the end of the Task Force and a case compendium containing two case studies submitted by WECF is online here

The workshop focussed on the preparation of Rio plus 20 (see WECF’s presentation on the website of UNECE here , public participation at the UNFCCC and multilateral financial institutions and their public participation policies.
