Once the risk is known, measures to minimiseand manage the risks need to be determined. The finalproducts – maps, posters, reports, a safe water strategy - give the local community information on how to avoid the risks of pollution.
The focus of WECF activities on developing WSP for small-scale water supply systems involving schools was to build local capacity and strengthen and mobilize the community to improve access to safe drinking water.
