Read the last update of The Turning Wheel for November: The Wheel is Turning - A warm shower for Malaysia.

The intention of the Turning Wheel is to make a bridge between the knowledge of the industrialized world and local wisdom by simple technologies for sustainable living making use of local demand. “Simple technologies can really inspire and empower people towards social, economical and environmental sustainability”, - said Fedde, a former WECF project officer, who conducts trainings for local schools, farms and eco-villages.

So far 7 solar collectors are constructed, 1 eco-toilet, 1 solar dryer and 1 solar light bulb has been build using materials which are 100% locally financed. This knowledge is spread in 267 workshop hours and inspired more than 350 people. Different publications are published in newpapers and websites.

The Turning Wheel will continue to Thailand, Laos, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Hungary, Czech, Germany and The Netherlands.
