Sacha Gabizon, the executive director of WECF, stressed the value of environmental and social equity as well as gender rights in green economy and sustainable development in the interview on the United Nations Radio, 2 September 2011.

“You don’t see all the work which is being done by women. And we have to make sure that when we set criteria and growth maps for the green economy, which is going to be one of the outcomes of Rio+20, we not only start measuring better the value of eco systems, but also the value of women’s contribution to development. We have to be focusing on the environmental and the social equity and the gender aspects in development”, said S. Gabizon.
