JWHI is supporting young individuals working for environmental CSOs with grants
WECF calls out to its partners for nominating their young potentials and leaders
11.02.2013 |WICF
WECF is calling out to its local partners to nominate young individuals in their organization dealing with environmental and sustainability issues. Nominees under the age of 35 are given preference, although there is no age limit. With the grants, young people and potential leaders can be given more access to better education and training on impact and success of their organization’s operations. The grant-money can be used freely, although a clear idea of how it should be put to use is necessary for a nomination.
Since the JWHI sees the need for such grants especially in developing countries, only individuals can be nominated who are not from advanced economy countries. Those from the nomination blocked countries include:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States
The JWHI gives away grants on an on-going basis, with nomination deadlines in June 1st and December 1st. See their website for more details.
