WECF and Women Major Group at UNEP governing council meeting, February 2013
WECF leads the Women's Major Group at UNEP and coordinated the interventions by the WMG members at the UNEP Governing Council.

The WMG representatives are coordinated through an elected core-group of four members. Currently, those members are:
- Ms Caroline Usikpedo, Niger Delta Womens Movement on Peace and Development, Nigeria
- Isis Alvarez, Global Forest Coalition, Colombia
- Alice Odingo, Soroptomists, Kenya
- Sascha Gabizon, WECF International, Netherlands
Other focal points and members of the Women's Major Group included Tess Vistro (APWLD, Philippines), Meena Bilgi (India), Mildren Mkandla (Earth Care, Zimbabe), Queensley Ajukayakpe (Women Environment Programme, Nigeria) and Juliet Duff (Irish Doctors for the Environment).
