WECF partner WEDO reflects on CSW58

Key thoughts on gender and the post-2015 development goals

12.04.2014 |

The Women's Environment and Development Organisation (WEDO) is one of WECF's partners for the "Empower Women – Benefit (for) All" (EWA) program. WEDO participated in the 58th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW58) that took place at the UN Headquarters in New York from the 10th to 21st of March 2014. A key goal of the CSW58 was to shape the inclusion of gender concerns in the post-2015 development goals. In particular, WEDO advocated for more interlinkages between environmental and gender goals, specifically concerning climate change.
