WECF nomination in 2015 for the EUSEW Award with Armenian Energy Efficiency Project

CLEEN (Civil Society Local Energy Efficiency Network) is a qualification, implementation and networking concept, with which CSOs and further important multipliers are trained and supported to expand their network in 4 project countries (Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, and Ukraine) in order to raise awareness and ensure citizen participation in energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The European Sustainable Energy Week, an initiative of the European Commission, will take place from 14 to 16 June 2016. The Awards recognise projects for clean, secure and efficient energy. The Awards ceremony takes place during the EUSEW policy conference where public authorities, energy agencies, industry associations, businesses, civil society organisations and the media are invited to take part. Nominees will present their projects on the EUSEW website and meet key policymakers and stakeholders on the policy conference.

CLEEN competes for the prize in the category public sector.
The project shows excellence and innovation with its approach to combine capacity building, implementation, networking and policy advocacy to unlock the great potential of energy efficiency and -saving in the target countries. Providing structures for the transformation towards sustainable and efficient energy development helps paving the way for reaching the EU 2030 Objectives.
