EU LIFE launches AskREACH Project
New project from EU Life to generate more attention and consciousness about Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
21.09.2017 |
The new project aims to reach a bigger audience with information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
These substances have carcinogenic properties, act as endocrine disruptors or cause special concern for the environment. According to EU legislature articles that contain more than 0.1% of SVHC have to be communicated to every commercial recipient. Next to this, consumers have a right of information on the presence of these substances.
Unfortunately, there is still very much obscurity and ignorance about SVHC. The new project aims to resolve this problem. As part of the project, news will be shared with the European population, retailers and industry. Next to that, in order to reach a broad public, an App will be developed to share information on these substances to consumers, and to allow consumers to ask questions to suppliers.
