Dear Madame,
Women in Europe for a Common Future in cooperation with the Social 
Ecological Institute and Karat Coalition invite you for the 
seminar:

"Toxic chemicals in our daily life from a women`s 
health perspective. Do we have to accept the present situation?"

The Conference will take  place in Warsaw on the 6th of December 2004.

During the seminar we will deal with the impact of toxic chemicals, 
which exists in our daily lives, on women> '> s health. Examples 
include toxic chemicals in toys, cosmetics and packaging to name a 
few:
  • We will try to identify the problems
  • We will also discuss the new EU chemicals policy, REACH
  • We learn how women are trying solve this problem in other countries
  • And we will think what we can do in Poland.

This seminar is a first event, giving women the opportunity to learn about toxic chemicals from a women´s health perspective. Cooperation can start between people interested in this issue, people who would like to act to start changing the current situation.

People, who are interested in participating are asked to send an a 
e-mail to lgorzata Peretiatkowicz:  mir_czyz@wp.pl before the 15th of November 2004. Please include the following information:

  • Name and surname
  • Name of Organization
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Phone and fax number
  • If you are from outside of Warsaw - cost of the travel to the event.

We guarantee the reimbursement of travel costs for people who are not from Warsaw upon the applicants registration approval.

The Seminar/workshop will be held in Polish and English with simultaneous  translation for both.

The number of places is limited. People who will be selected will be informed before the 17th of November.
