Better regulation!

NGO are asked to take part in EU internet consultation on "better regulation". Please take time to respond!

The Communication on "Better Regulation (BR)" was adopted in March.

One of the initatives raised in that paper is the launch of a "Public consultation on better regulation through Europa websites" - which is fact today. That means that the Secretary General developed a standard questionnaire. And all European Commission DGs now have to create links on their website, whether they like this or not.

A suspicious mind might fear that this public consultation will be abused by business to complain about annoying regulation - this time they cannot only prevent new rules from being adopted but they can even tackle existing ones!

So, please have a look at it and spread the link so that a maximum of NGOs know about this consultation that will run through until in autumn the Commission will have to present,to the Council, a new initative on simplification of the acquis. An indeed creative idea could e g be for NGOs to use this instrument and complain about the Financial Regulation for financing of NGOs ?!.
