Argentina bans phtalates in children's products
Manufacture, import and export are banned

Last week the Argentine Ministry of Health banned the manufacture, import, export and any other trade or charitable use of toys, flexible chewable baby merchandise or childcare plastic products containing concentrations higher than 0, 1 % of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP or DNOP phthalates.
In case these kinds of products enter the country stating they do not contain any of the phthalate esters mentioned above, they must go under a technical revision by the National Institute of Industrial Technology.
