Mama Cash is seeking to appoint a Director of Development and Communications, based in Amsterdam, who is an experienced, entrepreneurial development professional with a proven track record in fundraising.The new Director will also seek to substantially increase the visibility of the fund in the Netherlands and Europe and mobilise donors through state of the art online communications strategies.
Mama Cash is the oldest international women's fund - established in the Netherlands in 1983. Its vision is that every woman and girl around the globe will have the power and resources to make her own choices, have control over her body and participate fully and equally in creating a peaceful, just and sustainable world. Mama Cash provides funds to and forges partnerships with pioneering and innovative women's groups and initiatives around the world and engages with donors who provide the financial resources to defend and advance women's and girls' rights globally.
The Director of Development and Communications will provide the leadership and strategic direction to achieve Mama Cash's fundraising and communications goals; oversee the development, feasibility and implementation of annual plans, coordinate and set priorities for the Development and Communications team to sustain and expand funding. They will also be responsible for increasing the visibility of the organization.

We are looking for a talented and passionate fundraiser with a strong affinity to Mama Cash´s mission, vision and values with at least five years of proven expertise and knowledge in a fundraising leadership role; track record in the full spectrum of development including gift policies, solicitations, stewardship, donor recognition and administration; demonstrated success at developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans and closing major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. The candidate will be fluent in English (written and spoken) and Dutch fluency strongly preferred.
