Succesful media outreach on sustainable energy issues in Ukraine

Subgrantees in the CLEEN project: From energy audits in kindergartens to round tables in youth development clubs

Agency of economic development of Voznesensk initiated and signed the memorandum on partnership in energy efficiency with NGO “Development foundation of Domanivka”, town mayor of Domanivka and head of the Domanivskiy rayon administration. The memorandum inter alia foresees establishment of financial instruments to support energy efficiency.

Khmelnytskiy youth development club is constantly presented in local media with a topic of energy efficiency. After half a year of work, eight printed and 34 online publications achieved. Furthermore, they signed the memorandum on energy efficiency with mayoral candidate who won the local elections.

Ecosfera from Yzhorod collected data and evaluated energy efficiency of public facilities in 5 cities of Zakarpatska oblast. Results are passed to local authorities for the improvement of a decision making process.

In the city of Kremenchuk a CLEEN member conducted energy audits of two kindergardens. Conclusions are passed to the city department of education.

Two representatives of Voice of Nature NGO were invited into the Special committee on energy efficiency under city administration of Dniprodzerzhynsk.

"Energy saving – enough talks, it’s time to act!"

Ecoltava held 5 thematic press-breakfasts to attract local media to the topic of energy efficiency.

Faine misto from Ternopil held 13 different educational events connected with energy efficiency for students and young people.
