Lambert Mill Visit
Decentralisied waste-water treatment for a building with 8 to 1000 people. The example of constructed wetlands in Germany.
06.04.2005
In view of the planned demonstration projects on decentralized waste-water treatment for villages in Bulgaria and Armenia, we are making a short report on the visit to "Lambertsmühle" available on our website. The museum of Lamberstmühle in Germany has 8 permanent inhabitants, and up to 1000 visitors a day. The museum has ecological toilets and urinoirs, which use little water for flushing. The waste-water is lead to a planted soil filter of 16m2 where the water is cleaned through pebbles and reed plants. The clean water which comes out is of good quality, much better than the EU norms for bathing water.
