The Global Dry Toilet Club of Finland (www.toilet.org) was founded in 2002 to promote the use of dry toilets as means for sustainable development, securing clean water and a healthy environment for future generations.
In co-operation with the Tampere Polytechnic University of Applied Science (TAMK) the Dry Toilet Club organized the 2nd International Dry Toilet Conference.
140 participants from 34 countries: researchers, government officials, students and non-governmental organisations, companies from tens of different countries shared experience and knowledge, new ideas and raised further questions about dry toilets.
