WECF's Chantal Van den Bossche, Project Manager of the Life ChildProtect program spoke at the Final Seminar of the PVC Free Blood Bag Life+ Program in Ostersund in Sweden.
The seminar presented the projects achievements and future challenges of the past five years, showing results, user tests and Life Cycle Assessments.
Since WECF's ChildProtect Program shares the objective of the PVC Free Blood BAg program about phasing out EDC's, we were invited to focus on how to reach and raise awareness among health professionals and consumers and businesses on EDCs, Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals.
Representatives from other international projects and organisations sharing the PVC Free Blood Bag objectives were also present such as Stefano Lorenzetti from Life EDESIA

WECF sends letter to Dutch Secretary of State concerning EU policy on EDCs
In a joint statement WECF and the EDC Free Coalition ask Dutch State Secretary Dijksma to insist on major changes at the Environmental Council meeting to protect our health and environment.

Commission's EDC criteria proposal: More humans will have to be harmed before action is taken
The European Commission presented today its proposal for criteria to identify endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs). WECF and the EDCfree Coalition condemn strongly the decision.
