Childhood Cancer 2012 - Early exposures and childhood cancer

Leading childhood cancer experts, amongst others Professor Annie Sasco, member of WECF's comite of experts, were setting the scene on childhood cancer, including incidence, treatment and survival during the International Childhood Cancer Conference 2012 in Westminister, London.

WECF was present with a poster presentation on Project Nesting. Professor Sasco delivered a key note speech on Thursday April 26 on the "Alliance of prevention and precaution for childhood cancer control"

A panel of speakers from around the world will covered a diverse range of topics including exposure to radiation (both ionising and non-ionising), chemical toxins in air, food and water, infection and genetic and epigenetic effects. The conference ended with a panel discussion on prevention.

The final programme comprised a mixture of invited speakers and proffered papers, selected from more than 100 submitted abstracts.
